The uniqueness of Raja Ampat can be a reason for you to travel and enjoy everything in this West Papua tourist destination. Here’s the list.

  1. Its History Begins with the Four Kings
The history of Raja Ampat has a legend associated with its naming. It is said that long before there was a Raja Ampat, there lived a woman who found a unique egg. According to the myth believed by the locals, out of the seven eggs, only four hatched and became princes. The four princes then split up and became kings in their respective territories. The four regions are Salawati, Waigeo, West Misool and East Misool. These four kings later inspired the naming of Raja Ampat.
  2. One Regency Has Hundreds of Islands
Raja Ampat is a regency in West Papua. Although it is only a district, Raja Ampat has 612 islands. This condition makes Raja Ampat have many tourist destinations that can be visited.
